About Me:
I currently work at Qualcomm Inc., San Diego, as a Sr. Video Systems Engineer where I work on advanced video features and quality assessment.
Previously, I was with Texas Instruments Inc., Dallas, where I was an Advanced Imaging Engineer in the camera systems team where I worked on algorithm and system design for the image signal processor on the OMAP platform.
I received my doctorate in Electrical Engineering in May 2012 from The University of Texas at Austin. I was a Ph.D. candidate in the ECE department under the CommNetS track, where I worked with Dr. Al Bovik, in the Laboratory for Image and Video Engineering (LIVE). My dissertation title was "Natural Scene Statistics based Blind Image Quality Assessment and Repair".
I completed my Engineering from the University of Pune, India with a Silver Medal in the year 2007 and received an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from UT in Spring 2009. I ascended to candidacy in the Fall of 2010 and defended my dissertation on the 15th of February 2012.
